Sund NYC - 3D Archviz

This project unfolded over the course of several months, shaped by an ongoing dialogue between creative teams to translate the Sund Experience of Iceland into a new context in New York.

Through multiple iterations, Sund evolved gradually each version refining atmosphere, form, and feeling. My focus was on shaping these visual developments with intention, balancing experimentation with clarity, and ensuring the process remained both efficient and cohesive.

The result is an immersive interpretation that carries the essence of place across geography, a meeting point between Icelandic identity and a new urban landscape.

Our primary inspiration came from the public swimming pools that define everyday life in Iceland. Social, architectural spaces where community and ritual naturally converge. In particular, the raw elegance of Icelandic ocean pools informed the project’s relationship to water, community, and horizon.

The intention was to capture that balance: a setting refined in its aesthetic language, yet warm and inviting enough to feel like a place where a group of friends could gather, unwind, and belong.

Interior Rendering

This architectural visualization was developed for a returning client following several design iterations of their home renovation.

The brief was to translate the core ideas of the approved draft into a realistic interior rendering within a focused four-hour production window.

The result captures the essential character of the space while demonstrating a streamlined, production-oriented workflow.
